1. Do you sell original vintage Australian movie posters?
Yes, all the movie posters we sell are original vintage posters from Australia. We carefully source and curate our collection to offer you authentic and unique pieces of cinematic history. Many of our posters were originally on display in cinemas around the country before arriving into our care, adding to their silver screen authenticity.
2. What different types/sizes of posters are there?
Original Australian cinema posters can be split into two general size categories:
Daybill Posters
Daybill posters are unique to Australia, and are generally sized 13" x 30" or 33cm x 77cm, although this can vary slightly depending on year and studio. In the late 80s, this size shrunk to 13" x 26" / 33cm x 66cm.
One Sheet Posters
One Sheets come in a more internationally adopted size, however the ones sold in this store are still specific to Australia. Australian One Sheets typically measure 27" x 41" / 68cm x 104cm pre 1985, or 27" x 40" / 68cm x 100cm post 1985.
Although in-store poster descriptions reflect this standard size, if you would like exact poster measurements of any specific item, please do not hesitate to contact us.
2. Are the posters in good condition?
We strive to provide high-quality posters, but since they are vintage items, some signs of wear and tear may be present. We do our best to accurately convey condition through providing detailed, high resolution photographs so you can personally assess all of a piece's flaws the before making a purchase. If there is anything you think we may have missed, please feel free to request further photos through the Contact Us page.
3. How are the posters shipped?
To ensure the safe delivery of your poster, we use secure packaging materials and methods. Each poster is carefully rolled and placed in a sturdy tube or packaged flat between protective boards. We work with reliable shipping partners to make sure your order arrives in excellent condition.
4. How long does shipping take?
Shipping times may vary depending on your location. Generally, orders within Australia take 2-7 business days for delivery. International orders may take 7-14 business days. Please note that these are estimates and delays can occur due to customs or other unforeseen circumstances.
5. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept various payment methods, including major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, and Apple Pay. We utilize secure payment gateways to protect your financial information. We will be introducing Afterpay in the near future.
6. Can I return or exchange a poster if I'm not satisfied?
Yes, we have a hassle-free return and exchange policy. If you're not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order. We'll provide instructions on how to return the item, and upon its arrival in its original condition, we'll issue a refund or help you with an exchange.
7. Are the prices negotiable?
Our vintage movie posters are priced based on their rarity, condition, and demand. We strive to offer fair prices for these unique collectibles. However, we can negotiate prices for certain posters.
8. Do you offer framing services?
At the moment, we do not offer framing services.
